STOTT PILATES® INTENSIVE REFORMER TEACHER TRAINING

 

The STOTT PILATES® Intensive Reformer course is designed for fitness professionals and movement enthusiasts who want to expand their expertise in Pilates instruction. This comprehensive training focuses on teaching both the Essential and Intermediate Reformer repertoires safely and effectively to clients in private and group settings.

 

Participants are introduced to the STOTT PILATES® Movement System, a thoughtful framework that promotes intelligent, mindful exercise and supports the creation of personalized programs for every client. The course is built on the STOTT PILATES® Principles, which emphasize optimal movement patterns, body awareness, and integration of the fascial system for improved performance and balance.

 

Throughout the program, each exercise and modification is studied in detail, ensuring participants develop strong skills in programming, cueing, and client correction. Graduates leave the course equipped with the knowledge and confidence to deliver high-quality Reformer sessions that meet the unique needs of their clients.

Training dates:

  1.   part: FEBRUARY, 05-08. 2025

  2.   part: FEBRUARY, 13.-15. 2025

  3.   part: MARCH, 13.-15. 2026

Session hours will be announced.

This course will cover:

  • The What, How and Why of the STOTT PILATES® Principles and how to apply them to all exercises

  • Anatomy, safety & care of the Reformer

  • How to safely set up the Reformer for each exercise

  • How to adjust resistance effectively in a variety of exercises

  • STOTT PILATES® Warm Up on the Reformer

  • A complete breakdown, including goals, muscular emphasis and movement sequencing of 139 Essential and

  • Intermediate Reformer exercises

  • Modifications to address specific

  • alignment issues and individual needs

  • Power workout

  • Static Postural Analysis and assessment to aid in program creation

  • Exercise layering related to effective program design

  • Workout composition for personal and group training

  • Effective communication, observational skills, verbal cues and imagery for performance enhancement and client motivation

Observation, practice teaching and physical review

 

Observation

Watch STOTT PILATES Certified Instructors and Instructor Trainers in live sessions with clients or via Merrithew Connect™.

Personally practice exercises learned in class.

Practice Teaching 

Teach STOTT PILATES repertoire to clients, fellow students or via video sessions.

Note: Practice logs must be submitted before the final exam.
